she’s beautiful.

This is going to be a bit of a long text, but i have to get my point across.
About 2 weeks ago, (roughly) Jamey Rodemeyer committed suicide. He was a grade 9 boy from Buffalo, New York. He killed himself because of a large group of teens that constantly threw homophobic, hateful slurrs at him. You’ve probabbly heard about it. Now, that it’s too late. This seems to happen a lot, doesn’t it? People start to pay attention and care only once someone’s killed themselves-when it’s too late. This boy posted several videos talking about his constant abuse, but not one person did a single thing to help him. All those desperate cries for help were finally silenced by the ignorance of those who thought that they were better than him. Now, because of blind eyes and cold hearts, an innocent boy is dead. For no good reason at all. I am fully aware that this happens to thousands, if not millions of people around the world. But i feel that this needs to be said. No person, no matter what age, race, sexual orentation, or gender should ever be forced to take their own lives because of someone elses’ opinion of them. No one is better than you. NO one. It doesn’t matter if it’s Justin Bieber or Oprah. No one is better than you. They may be richer and more famous than you, but we’re all the same.
Not one person has the right to make someone else feel like their worthless to the point where they feel that their life is worthless, because it’s not. This isn’t just towards gay teens, this applies to all kinds of abuse. Whether it be domestic, child, emotional or physical. Looking at the title of this post you may wonder how it connects to what I’m trying to say. I’m saying that love is louder than all of these issues. if you’re being bullied for being yourself, tell ANYONE that will help you. Because it’s the LOVE that will help you. It’s the love that will aid you in growing new skin. It’s the love that moves you to truely believe that you are a wonderful contribution to the world around you. Love will silence the hate. So if anyone is ever feeling worthless, or abused, just remember that love IS louder. Love is louder than pain, heartache, death, anything that you need to heal from. It sounds cliche, but sometimes people need a hand when they don’t think of asking. If you don’t catch someone that’s falling, their hand will never again be there for you to give it a second thought.
If you can take anything away from these three paragraphs, take this: Love is LOUDER. No matter the situation, love will always light your path of temporary darkness.
And with that off my chest, i can breath!
